On November 12, 2022, BFF of DeSoto Animal Services, Inc., held it’s first annual dinner and dance fundraiser.  In the past we’ve done small fundraisers that were short term and to fill a specific need.  We all agreed that we should hold one big fundraiser every year in an effort to start growing the nonprofit.  Growth will mean being able to support DeSoto Parish Animal Shelter with funding local programs to promote responsible pet ownership, the establishment of low cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, and other activities to give every animal a second chance. 

 

We were fortunate to have several sponsors to help cover the cost of the event.  The catered event included live music and animal themed art work that was available for purchase.  This was our very first big fundraiser, we have kinks to work out and changes that will hopefully result in the 2023 fundraiser being bigger and better.  But, in looking at those smiling faces, it appears our supporters had a wonderful time.  We are looking forward to seeing you at this year’s LET’S PAWTY fundraiser.
